Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta battered and criticized by performance issues on PC, Arc System Works “apologizes for the impact this had on your experience” G Trends

Marvel Tokon: The Fighting Souls pre-launch open beta has just ended, after being open over the weekend. Unfortunately, those who have tried the fighter on PC over the past few days have encountered a litany of issues, leaving developers Arc System Works apologizing for the inconvenience and scrambling to provide fixes.

After facing Problems with PlayStation Network Right off the bat, the beta’s PC issues were first acknowledged by Arc System Works on social media early Saturday morning UK time.

“We are aware of gameplay and performance issues currently affecting the PC version of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls,” they said. wrote. “Our team is actively investigating these issues and working on a fix. We will share an update as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we sincerely apologize for the impact this has had on your experience.” This was shortly followed by a six-part thread in which the studio outlined “several community-suggested troubleshooting steps that may help improve performance.” However, Arc System Works insisted that these were “not officially confirmed fixes,” that “results may vary depending on your PC’s configuration,” and that “they should also not be taken as confirmation of the underlying cause of the reported issues.”

The list of things to consider included running shader warm-up at launch, checking your screen and Nvidia settings, checking whether disabling or modifying game recording/capture software is helpful, and checking game files to specifically try to work around an anti-cheat error on Steam.

If you have encountered any issues and would like to leave feedback, Arc System Works has established a investigation for this by closing the curtains of the beta version. The hope is that by allowing people to experience these issues now, the studio will be better equipped to resolve or at least mitigate them before Marvel Tokon’s full release on August 6. However, this date is certainly not a million miles away.

It will be interesting to see if the long list of countries in which the game is not available for purchase, likely due to PlayStation Network account requirements, is reduced further before this full release.
