SEGA has officially announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour, bringing back the beloved arcade driving series for a globe-trotting adventure set to launch in 2027. The announcement took place during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, with a trailer featuring The Offspring’s iconic track “All I Want”, synonymous with the franchise.


The new installment will feature the series’ protagonist, Axel, in a narrative campaign that sees him pursue mysterious masked villains who have stolen his taxi. This adventure will take players through five unique cities around the world, each offering varied terrains and extreme missions to tackle.


Crazy Taxi: World Tour is developed under the direction of Kenji Kanno, the original creator of the Crazy Taxi series. The game promises to significantly expand the classic formula with new multiplayer modes allowing players to compete against friends and opponents online from around the world. Vehicle customization will also play a larger role, with players able to unlock various vehicles and modification options to create their perfect vehicle.


For fans of the original experience, Classic mode will recreate the thrills of the original arcade games.
