According to new reports published by Page six And TMZ On Friday, June 5, Swift and Kelce, both 36, may plan to tie the knot in front of more than 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
According to rumors, the wedding will take place as early as June 13, 2026, a number that Swift has long considered happy.
While the couple has remained tight-lipped about the location of their wedding and has yet to publicly confirm or deny where they will tie the knot, fans are joining in on the growing speculation.
Many Swift and Kelce fans shared on social media that they didn’t believe the couple would choose such a public location for their ceremony.
“Although Smart stone got married at MSG, I seriously doubt Taylor Swift will. She is excellent at deceiving people, especially the press, to keep her private life private,” one X user wrote.
Others were convinced that the reports were a ploy to keep the true location of the wedding top secret.
“Why on earth would they want to have the wedding there? This feels like a cover for where they’re actually having it,” one X user asked, while another added, “Oh please. That’s a decoy. I bet they’re getting married in (Rhode Island).”
Another expressed a similar opinion, writing: “Maybe it’s a deception area and it’s happening somewhere else.”
One social media user had a different theory about when the reports were published.
“There is an orchestrated plan to distract from Taylor’s hit song,” they wrote.

Meanwhile, not everyone was against the idea of the Grammy winner and NFL star saying “I do” at MSG.
Some fans thought Madison Square Garden was a venue large enough and iconic enough to be suitable for such a famous couple, comparing the event to a royal wedding.
“This is so romantic, this is honestly preparing to rival the dream wedding I always imagined as a kid 🥹🥹🥹 (and I’m just a little jealous 😒😂) 🥹🥰🥰🥰💒💍🏈🏀🎶♾,” one X user gushed.

One fan pointed out that the venue has been used for other large public events and could likely serve another function on the scale required.
“If Madison Square Garden can host a President Trump speaking event, that means MSG can host Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding,” they wrote.
After two years of dating, Swift and Kelce announced their engagement via social media in August 2025.
