And just like that, it’s Summer Game Fest. We’re right in the thick of it now, with last night’s bonanza of announcements from SGF proper, followed by the curated selection of games in Day of the Devs, but with plenty more to come. There’s Wholesome Direct at 5pm today, leading into Fellow Traveler’s story-rich showcase and the Future Games Show, then tomorrow night there’s Xbox and PC Gaming. View the full program here.
This morning, however, it’s all about administration. There are a lot of trailer posts that need new thumbnails and more presentation and details to put in, so I’ll get back to that as soon as I have this roundup ready. Let’s go!

Dom came back to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for the Switch 2 release, calling for “a must-have portable RPG”, which certainly bodes well for the simultaneous release of the trilogy’s conclusion. He also had to take care of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and had an incredible time living out his Top Gun daydreams. See it in action here:
And then I got into the rather more demanding real-time tactical action roguelite. Chivalry, and I enjoyed coming back to Rayman Legends toldalthough I find the decision to remake this particular game a bit confusing when the original 2013 version still looks and plays just as good.
