Influencers Jen Hamilton confirmed that she is quitting her job as a nurse after separating from her estranged husband, Brian Hamilton.
“I’m taking time off from work, which I never wanted,” Jen, 37, announced a vlog on Monday, June 29th. “My patients don’t deserve the state of mind that I would bring to the bedside right now. One moment I’m fine. The next moment I’m not fine.”
According to her website, Jen has worked as an emergency room and obstetric nurse for more than a decade, specializing in helping mothers give birth.
“I don’t know when these moments (when I’m not feeling well) will happen, and my patients deserve so much better,” she said. “There are so many things going on that are so complicated that I wish I could share them now, but I can’t. I just need to know that I’m a great mother, not only to my children, but to myself too.”

On June 15, Jen fought back tears in a TikTok vlog in which she revealed she had split from husband Brian.
“I’m embarrassed, I feel exposed and sad, I feel everything you may be feeling,” she shared with her followers. “My publicists say I should make a statement ‘when I’m ready’. There’s no ready. But there’s already been a lot of articles about it, so I might as well rip the Band-Aid off and leave it to the wind.”
She then issued a joint statement with Brian, confirming the split.
“Yes, we are separating,” was their joint statement. “This comes with tremendous pain for both of us, but also with gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love and friendship. We are committed to loving each other well in this transition and prioritizing the well-being of the family we have created.”
The Hamiltons continued, “We hope that our paths, differing in physical ways, create space and room for spiritual healing for each other. We are still committed to being a team. We even wrote this together (and without Chatgpt). We both want to be very clear. This wasn’t about falling in love. That’s why this is so devastating. It was about realizing that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give someone space to figure out complex things. And that’s exactly who we are.” do.”
In that video, Jen promised fans that she would be “fine” – but in a later vlog, she compared the breakup to the pain of childbirth.
“It feels like contractions,” Jen said in a June 20 video. “You’ll be fine for a minute, and then the contraction will come! And one more thing, and the contractions: I don’t know when it will end.”
The Birth mood The author continued, “What’s bothering me right now – I know it shouldn’t bother me, but I wish I had something stable to rely on – is the instability of my emotions right now. Because I can wake up feeling good and doing things and getting things done and feeling like a boss, and then someone mentions something and I’m just a puddle on the floor.”
In Monday’s vlog, Jen made it clear that despite the end of her marriage, she will continue to be there for Brian.
“Even after everything that happened, I have no animosity, no ill will. I want him to find himself,” she explained. “I want him to be the best version of himself he has ever been. I will be his biggest cheerleader as he goes on this journey.”
Jen then vowed, “I will also be my biggest cheerleader. I will model to my children what it means to have healthy relationships and healthy self-esteem and to allow those we love most in this world to accept and embrace the gift that is responsibility and consequence for the choices we make in this life.”
