Yellowstone‘S Kelly Reilly And Cole Hauser Finally, her silence broke after hers Dutton Ranch The spin-off experienced a shocking showrunner shakeup.
“Showrunners are constantly changing,” Hauser, 51, said recently The Hollywood Reporter in a joint interview. “This business is about adapting.”
He continued: “We’ve been doing this for a long time. Things change. People move on.”
Reilly, 48, had a similar sentiment, adding, “We finished the first season beautifully with Chad. We finished this season together. It was a really difficult but really satisfying show. And Yellowstone too.”
Looking ahead, the actress wanted to focus on the positive. “So it’s worth doing something,” she concluded. “We’re all creatives and we all work together, and I’m so proud of that.”
Just before the show’s premiere in June Chad Feehan was responsible for that Yellowstone Spin off.

Paramount+Us weekly later confirmed that Feehan would not be returning as showrunner after it was reported in April that the producer had created the series Law Enforcement Officer: Bass Reeves with creator Taylor Sheridan stepped back Dutton Ranch after alleged friction with the series stars Hauser and Reilly, among others.
Sheridan and his producing partner David Glasseralong with the two leads, were reportedly more unhappy with the way Feehan ran the production than with the scripts.
Executive producer Christina Voros broke their silence on Feehan’s reported firing, telling ScreenRant in May that he did an “extraordinary job building a world of adversaries for Rip and Beth” in the Yellowstone spin-off.
Voros noted that she didn’t have much to add about the “dynamics behind his departure.” She continued that Dutton Ranch had not “come into the world” at this point, so a future without Feehan was “outside” her knowledge on the subject.
The director thanked Feehan and his team for “creating a world for these characters to move in.”
Paramount+ later renewed Dutton Ranch for Season 2 – but there hasn’t been a showrunner update yet.
Dutton Ranch isn’t the only Sheridan show to go through showrunner changes. Lioness, Tulsa King And Frisco King have also experienced changes – and not every show has had a showrunner from season to season.
