Alexis Bledel made a very rare public appearance at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival.

The former Gilmore Girls The 44-year-old star walked the red carpet at the film industry’s prestigious gathering at New York’s Village East Cinema on Saturday, June 6, to promote her new film Ponderosa.

Bledel looked elegant as always in a gold top with a cut-out collar and bow over a knee-length black skirt and matching pumps.

The veteran TV star made this rare appearance to celebrate Ponderosais the world premiere of the screenwriter and director Rob Rice and co-star Jack Dylan Grazer (Luca).

The horror-comedy revolves around a young man (Grazer) who fends off the advances of a strange older man who insists on becoming his stepfather after his mother loses her job at a local buffet. The Queen’s Gambit Actor Bill Camp also appears in Ponderosa.

Ponderosa is Bledel’s first film role since the 2019 crime thriller Cryptoalthough she appeared sporadically on the small screen as Emily in The Handmaid’s Tale until 2025.

Her last major public appearance before attending the Tribeca Film Festival was at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2025, where she reunited with her on stage Gilmore Girls Costar Lauren Graham to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic show on a replica of the Stars Hollow set.

“A show called 25 years ago Gilmore Girls premiered and apparently took the fall season hostage,” Graham, 59, joked during the post.

The duo thought about having a meager budget to begin with Gilmore Girlswhich required the cast to get creative with catering.

“If there was a birthday The Drew Carey Show “Next door, they sent us their leftover sheet cake,” Graham said.

“We looked hungry…Basically we were bullied and starving,” Bledel chimed in.
