Jen Hamilton retires from nursing amid separation G trends

Influencers Jen Hamilton confirmed that she is quitting her job as a nurse after separating from her estranged husband, Brian Hamilton.

“I’m taking time off from work, which I never wanted,” Jen, 37, announced a vlog on Monday, June 29th. “My patients don’t deserve the state of mind that I would bring to the bedside right now. One moment I’m fine. The next moment I’m not fine.”

According to her website, Jen has worked as an emergency room and obstetric nurse for more than a decade, specializing in helping mothers give birth.

“I don’t know when these moments (when I’m not feeling well) will happen, and my patients deserve so much better,” she said. “There are so many things going on that are so complicated that I wish I could share them now, but I can’t. I just need to know that I’m a great mother, not only to my children, but to myself too.”

On June 15, Jen fought back tears in a TikTok vlog in which she revealed she had split from husband Brian.

“I’m embarrassed, I feel exposed and sad, I feel everything you may be feeling,” she shared with her followers. “My publicists say I should make a statement ‘when I’m ready’. There’s no ready. But there’s already been a lot of articles about it, so I might as well rip the Band-Aid off and leave it to the wind.”

She then issued a joint statement with Brian, confirming the split.

“Yes, we are separating,” was their joint statement. “This comes with tremendous pain for both of us, but also with gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love and friendship. We are committed to loving each other well in this transition and prioritizing the well-being of the family we have created.”
