Marathon is a horror game. Well, it should be, anyway (or I guess, in a way, it already is). The still under-respected genre isn’t where Bungie’s vision of a pull shooter currently sits, even if there are still qualities to be found like jump scares, sticky, sticky tension, hints of something gone catastrophically wrong. I want more of those horror elements, and oh lucky for me, the first trailer for the game’s second season seems to deliver on that front.
