Real Madrid brought down the curtain on a disappointing La Liga season with the visit of Athletic Bilbao to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos have already finished second in the table, but that will do little to ease the blow of a second consecutive trophyless season – a season that could see them finish 14 points behind their great rival, Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Athletic will have to settle for a season without European football next season after a disappointing campaign of their own.
This match will also serve as the final match for both managers, with Alvaro Arbeloa set to leave Real Madrid and Ernesto Valverde preparing to leave Athletic this summer.
