Jessi Draper sends a message to the fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Women after appearing in a video that hinted at drama Taylor Frankie Paul.
“Okay, respectfully, you guys need to calm down,” Jessi, 34, said on Wednesday, July 8. Instagram Video. “I know MomTok is all about drama videos and finding out who’s friends with (who) and who’s gossiping about each other. But you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. Just remember that we’re filming a reality show and you won’t know the details until it comes out. We’re filming right now, we’re a group of us together. We don’t decide who comes to these things and who doesn’t.”
Jessi noted that she “very publicly” supported Taylor, who made headlines in March when she and her ex Dakota Mortensen had been involved in an alleged domestic incident and Season 5 of Mormon women stopped production. (Local authorities declined to press charges against Taylor, 32, after an investigation. In April Us weekly confirmed that Hulu had resumed production on season five.)
“I still support Taylor,” Jessi said. “She knows that. I talk to her every day. I’m still friends with her. I still love her. I also still have some friendships on MomTok and we also film a show together and work together and we have to be together and we have to make videos together, it’s part of our job. But it’s also good that the group is now able to get along and make videos.”

Jessi further elaborated on the video in which she appeared Whitney Leavittis Instagram, where she and her colleagues Mormon women The co-stars danced in a clip that read, “We survive.” The video was released after Taylor appeared to lose her temper when she changed her Instagram bio to “Creator of Momtok+.” SLOMW. “When we made a video for Whitney’s page, I actually thought it was a positive thing because you know our group has had our problems and some of them are still ongoing,” she said. “But we were able to get together today and make a funny video. It wasn’t meant to bash anyone. It wasn’t meant to be a dig. It was just like, ‘Hey, we’re all filming together right now and we’re going to make a funny video like we used to.’ Again, you don’t know what’s going on and what conversations have been going on behind the scenes.”
She continued, “But I’m getting a lot of hate messages now that I’m no longer supporting Taylor and supporting the other girls. That’s not true. I can be friends with multiple people at the same time, be able to be friends with multiple people.”
Before concluding her video, Jessi noted that she was going through a difficult period in her life – seemingly referencing her divorce from her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura. (Jordan, 31, filed for divorce from Jessi in March after five years of marriage. He also filed for a restraining order, which has since been denied.)
“Also, I’m going through a hell of a time in my life, so I would appreciate it if people didn’t do that right now and send me hate because you have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes,” Jessi said. “And that’s just what I wanted to say: Stop being parasocial and just enjoy the show when it comes out and you’ll have all the answers.”
