Love Island USA‘S Bryce leader Dettlof made a surprising revelation regarding his appearance in the latest episode of the series.
In the episode of Sunday, June 7th, Trinity Tatum Bryce asked if he “had an ugly face growing up.” Bryce surprised her – and Us – by talking about how he dealt with the opposite.
“No, I looked like a girl,” he said. “But it’s funny because all the girls liked me.”
Bryce shared a specific story from his childhood.
“I remember in middle school, I was in 7th grade and in 8th grade there was a girl who was the hottest girl in the whole school,” he added. “She came up to me and told me I was the cutest guy ever.”
He continued: “All the boys hated me and started bullying me for it. All the boys always bullied me because they thought I was better looking.”
Bryce isn’t the only one telling a surprising story in the villa. Earlier this week, the Islanders had to read out sex facts and find out who it was about. One of the revelations was that an islander had slept with someone in his 50s.

“I was out and about having a good time with my friends. She started talking to me and was smoking hot for her age,” said 26-year-old Gabriel Vasconcelos about his encounter with the 52-year-old. “We had a nice night together. She had a lot of experience.”
The narrator then joked about Gabriel’s sexual history Iain Stirling compared him to a “reverse Leonardo DiCaprio” due to the actor’s dating history. Alongside Gabriel and Bryce, Season 8 of Love Island USA Features Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Alakai Dettloff, KC Chandler, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Sean Reifel, Trinity, Corbin Mims, Kayda Bosse And Zach Georgiou.
The Peacock show was also planned Vasana Montgomerywhich was cut from season 8 of Love Island USA after resurfaced social media posts showed she used a slur. Vasana was removed from the show before she could enter the villa. Both clips were leaked from her private social media, meaning producers had no insight into the posts when casting the season.
“I want to address a few videos from my teenage years that have recently resurfaced,” she wrote on her Instagram Story this month. “In these videos I used a racial slur. I am embarrassed and disappointed by my words.”
Vasana emphasized that she wanted to take responsibility for her actions.
“I take full responsibility for what I said and understand why it hurt and upset people,” she continued. “I have grown a lot as a person since then and have taken the time to educate myself, listen, learn and better understand the impact that language can have.”
She added: “This growth does not erase my mistake, and I am not asking anyone to excuse it. I believe people should be held accountable for their actions, but I also believe in growing, learning and getting better. To anyone I have hurt or disappointed, I am truly sorry.”
