In 2024, I wrote about a group of Baldur’s Gate 3 modders who were determined to give Wyll the same level of depth and focus that Larian’s RPG loves Shadowheart and Astarion. They dubbed their efforts the “Wyll Cinematic Universe” and began by adding a new romance scene for Blade of Frontiers to the game’s third act. Now, their work appears to have resulted in a substantial overhaul of Wyll’s companion quest surrounding his pact with the evil lady Mizora, giving him more freedom to make his own decisions about whether he breaks it.
