Swedish indie studio Elden Pixels launched its surreal comedy adventure The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest today on GOG.com, with a 20% launch discount for the first seven days. The game, priced at $14.99, marks the first collaboration between publisher Acclaim and the DRM-free gaming platform.

The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest plunges players into the fractured mind of Fletcher Howie Jr., a game developer facing a mental breakdown during a critical time on a major project. After a therapy session goes wrong, Fletcher finds himself trapped in his own subconscious and must navigate a bizarre world filled with his fears and anxieties in what the developers describe as a “Microvanian” adventure.
This isn’t Elden Pixels’ first rodeo. The studio previously created Alwa’s Awakening, Alwa’s Legacy and A Void Hope before tackling this deeply personal project. According to the press release, the game is inspired by real-life experiences and aims to explore themes of mental health through dark comedy and platform gameplay.

The game originally launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch in February 2026, and its arrival on GOG represents Acclaim’s expanded partnership with the platform. Marc Anthony Rodriguez of Acclaim praised the game’s “madness, chaos, and surreal humor” while expressing excitement about bringing more titles to GOG in the future.

The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is available now on GOG.com with a seven-day introductory discount. A new launch trailer has been released to celebrate GOG’s debut, showcasing Fletcher’s strange journey through his troubled psyche.
