Jellyroll was spotted without his wedding ring a week before it was revealed he had filed for divorce from his wife Bunny Xo.
In footage from CMA Fest 2026, which took place in Nashville over the first weekend of June, Jelly Roll, 41, was seen on stage without his wedding ring on his finger.
Us weekly subsequently confirmed on Monday, June 15, that the musician had filed for an end to his marriage a month earlier and filed for divorce in Tennessee on May 18.
The former couple married in 2016. Before the split, they were open about the ups and downs of their relationship. Bunnie, 46, recently wrote about her early dating days in her memoir, which also mentioned Jelly Roll’s infidelity.
“I tried to be as real as possible about the situation,” she told Us Weekly exclusively about her book Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, which was released in February. “I think I might have even toned it down.”
Not holding anything back, Bunnie added: “It’s just really important to be authentic. My husband is my best friend. I fucking love that man – and we’ve been through hell.”
The content creator recalled realizing that “love isn’t always pretty.”
“It’s raw, it’s emotional and it’s a journey,” she added. “I’m so happy for people who have never had to go through anything traumatic in their relationships. But I just feel like my husband and I have had to go through this because it’s part of our testimony. It’s part of what we’ve survived – we choose to be together every day.”
Jelly Roll, meanwhile, praised his wife for her openness.
“It was difficult for me to read at times,” he told People about her memoir. “We went through a lot of suffering and had to go through it together, but reading the whole book and seeing where it ended is really touching.”
Jelly Roll continued, “I’m just proud of her for telling her story so unapologetically. I mean, she speaks fearlessly about everything from domestic violence to sexual assault. I’m just proud of her. She’s so brave.”
In March, Jelly Roll publicly defended his wife against claims that she was a “gold digger” in their marriage.
“I love it when they call her a gold digger,” he told Taste of Country Nights. “She hates it. It just makes her angry.”
Jelly Roll, for his part, thought it was funny.
“But it just really tickles me red because when I met her,” he noted, “I was homeless and living in a converted 1996 van. So if anyone was mining for gold, it was me, Popeye. I couch surfed and made it to the bedroom.”
