The 2026 World Cup is officially here – and the stars are heading out to cheer on their favorite teams.
The global soccer tournament will be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with qualifying teams competing in duels across the three countries this summer before the championship game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
“I think it’s very cool and I’m very excited about it and what it can do or what it means to the world and the country itself,” the Team USA athlete said Miles Robinson told exclusively Us weekly before joining the team in May 2026. “I think it’s a great opportunity for all people to come together to celebrate a sport… and can really bridge some gaps between cultures and hopefully make people realize that we are so much more alike than we are dissimilar.”
Robinson, in particular, raved that being included in the USA squad was a “dream come true.”
“To me it’s something super surreal,” he said Us. “Right now I’m just trying to focus on the present and realize that the moment is what matters because I think that’s when I’m at my best when I’m not worrying or thinking about the future. I’m really just focused on the present.”
Thanks to the midfielder, Robinson and his teammates won their first victory on June 12, 2026 Gio Reynas‘trivela goal in the final seconds of the qualifying match against Paraguay.
