Taylor Swift says the moment in ‘Toy Story 5’ broke her heart G trends

Taylor Swift always had a friend with him toy story, So imagine their excitement to record an original song for the fifth film.

Appears on the Toy Story: 30 Years and Beyond special 20/20 Airing on Friday, June 12, Swift, 36, opened up about her engagement and revealed the moment that made her particularly emotional.

Swift wrote “I Knew It, I Knew You” to provide a new backstory for the cowgirl character Jessie (voiced by: Joan Cusack).

Speaking on the 20/20 special, Swift shared that a line she wrote for the song really tugged at her heartstrings.

“For Jessie, I feel like the line, ‘I watched you drive around the corner, which I think was the last time I saw my boyfriend,’ hits me really hard because that movie just broke my heart,” Swift said. “So I’m really happy to give her a happy moment.” ”

Tom Hanks And Tim Allenwho voiced Woody and Buzz Lightyear respectively, detailed how Swift’s involvement was shrouded in mystery.

“They literally pulled us into a room and said, ‘Shut the door,'” said Hanks, 69. Allen, 73, added, “I thought they were going to say, ‘Aliens are real.'”

In the special, Swift added that she was “grateful” to be making music for the latest Toy story Rate.

“I felt wonderful knowing I did it Randy (Newman)It is a blessing for me to write for this film as I am the first songwriter to be a part of it Toy story World outside of Randy,” Swift said in a preview for the 20/20 sit down. “I absolutely loved (the film). It’s my favorite film Toy story Film. I don’t mind, I just really liked the film.”

Swift recently teamed up with Newman, 82, as they performed a duet of his song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” at the premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 9th. The 14-time Grammy winner also sang “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the first time during the screening.

Swift, a childhood fan of the Toy story Franchise, collaborated with Jack Antonoff to the new song.

“It’s a *Toy* Story,” Swift wrote Instagram on June 1st, announcing the single. “I have always dreamed of writing for these characters that I have adored since I saw the first film as a five-year-old child Toy Story Film. I fell in love immediately Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?”

Days later, Swift revealed via Instagram that her songwriting journey felt like a “musical departure and coming home.”

“Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and at the same time felt like a natural thing to do,” the pop star mused in a June 5 interview upload. “And being a @toystory child, from age 5 to now… is an adventure I want to live for eternity and beyond. Thank you to the brilliant.” Andrew Stanton for introducing this to me all those years ago when you were writing this latest film. Thank you to the incomparable @randynewmanofficial for the beautiful sonic tapestry of songs and scores you have carefully woven over the years. You created this Toy Story world of music and we are lucky to live in it.”

Swift concluded: “By ‘we’ I mean myself and my buddy @jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much reverence for these characters who made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard throughout our childhood.”

Toy Story 5 hits theaters on Friday, June 19th.
