Below Deck Med captain Sandy talks about leaving the show G trends

Below deck Mediterranean‘S Captain Sandy Yawn revealed how worried viewers should be about her future on the show after celebrating 15 seasons on screen.

“With Below Deck, I want to do this for the rest of my life – as long as they have me,” Sandy gushed exclusively Us weekly.

Sandy also expressed interest in branching out, adding, “I would love to do another show – like Traitors – or another Bravo crossover show would be cool. Or we could have a crossover on our ship like Below Deck Down Under did.”

The captain was at the helm Below deck Since the second season premiered in 2017, Sandy has been a spin-off. As Sandy looks back on her time on the show, she’s excited about what’s next.

“It doesn’t feel like 10 years. But when I look in the mirror and think, ‘It’s been 10 years,'” Sandy joked. “I would be really cool because being the captain on the same show for 10 years is incredible. I’m so grateful to be asked back.”

Sandy pointed out the importance of “having a consistent crew,” which she enjoys as well.

“I get to witness the growth they bring over the years,” she added. “And when I think back to all the charter flights I’ve done on the Below Deck franchise, it was really great. Even when I took over the show from Captain Lee (Rosbach) for a while. Al, those experiences mean something to me – and have made me a better captain over the years.”

She continued, “The practice of pausing and then drawing from experiences and making decisions based on my previous experiences (was a big lesson). I think that was something that was a big lesson for me.”

Well done Below deck The franchise has been a reliably dramatic and entertaining installment in the reality TV storm since its debut in 2013. When Below deck Mediterranean returns to Bravo for Season 11 on Monday, June 8 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Sandy is joined by familiar faces including Aesha Scott, Joe Bradley And Nathan Gallagher.

Season 11 also marks a season premiere, with the first storyline involving Boatswain Nathan dividing his time between working on the water and spending time on land with his partner Gael Cameron and her new baby.

“The fact that we were able to do that for him was great,” Sandy noted. “Every time I saw Nathan he seemed very excited to see his family, but when he came back he was very tired!”

Aesha had to deal with her own work-life balance issues and accommodate guests’ requests when planning her wedding.

“Coming back this season, I was a little cautious,” she noted Us. “I wanted to get married soon, but it honestly ended up being my favorite season ever!”

Deckhand Joe is also back after a difficult season 10, telling us, “I understand it’s not a comfortable position – even as a viewer – and looking back, I’ve learned from the situation. I’m really focused on my job right now.”
