The Denmark match was called off after Eriksen collapsed while Italy and Norway also played G Trends

Christian Eriksen suffered another collapse on the pitch on Sunday afternoon, but fortunately the Dane was able to walk off the pitch with his team-mates after the match was called off.

The 34-year-old clutched his chest and fell to the ground in the second half of Denmark’s friendly match against Ukraine in Odense.

Players from both teams immediately gathered around him while paramedics rushed to treat him.

Denmark’s national team doctor, Morten Boysen, confirmed that Eriksen was unconscious for a short period but quickly regained consciousness.

The Danish Football Association subsequently issued a statement confirming that the player was “aware and working well under these circumstances.” He was taken to the hospital for further tests.

Eriksen received treatment on the pitch for approximately 13 minutes before returning to his feet, whereupon the crowd inside the Natural Energy Park gave him a standing ovation.
