Total War: Warhammer III – Bhashiva & Tiger Warriors DLC looks pretty awesome! G Trends

Creative Assembly has revealed a new character pack for Total War: Warhammer III, which will have fans of the game and the Grand Cathay faction purring with delight. Enter Bhashiva & Tiger Warriors, who will do a long stretch before pouncing on their enemies in battle when the DLC launches on May 21.

Bhashiva, the White Tiger of Shang-Yang, is reborn at this time to repel the growing threat of Chaos. As a mercenary lord, she will enter the service of the Iron Dragon, bringing a company of Tiger Warriors to fight alongside her.

Tiger Warriors are fast, stealthy, and excellent ambush warriors, adding a new facet to the wider Cathay army with specialized units including Sawai, Clawspeaker, Stalkers, Tiger Warriors with Dual Axes, and Iron Claws.

For the campaign, this DLC adds the Court of the Tiger, which renders judgment and defines the identity of the faction according to one of the three strategic pillars. You will also need to complete missions for the Iron Dragon to unlock more members of the Cathay army for your use, and also gain access to insignia that can be applied and upgraded to units.

This character pack will arrive on May 21 with patch 8.0, which brings updates to Grand Cathay and a free legendary hero Taoyan the Merciless.

It’s crazy to think that Total War: Warhammer 3 is already four years old, having launched in 2022, and that this fantasy trilogy will be 10 years old later this month. The fact that Creative Assembly continues to support it with new content is great, although their focus has naturally shifted to the future, which will contain Total War: Medieval 3 and Total War: Warhammer 40,000.

When it launched, I wrote in our review: “If Total War Warhammer 3 is the beginning of the end for Creative Assembly’s fantasy series, then it’s releasing on a high note. The game takes several steps forward in how the campaign works, in how it builds to climactic battles, and then in how those battles play out, and there are many quality of life improvements for the Total War series as a whole.”
