The iconic dress worn by Celine Dion during her performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics is now on display in Montreal.
The McCord Stuart Museum is hosting the North American premiere of a Dior piece following previous shows in Paris and Seoul.
The Quebec-born singer wore a couture gown to the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, a concert held atop the Eiffel Tower.
The garment, which took more than 1,000 hours to make, was designed exclusively for Dion by Dior’s artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Exhibitors say the show provides visitors with a rare opportunity to see an important and historic piece of high fashion up close.

“Art and sports are truly powerful ways to bring people together, a moment of celebration, a reunion of shared joy,” said Anne Ichabassi, president and CEO of the museum.
“We’re trying to create that in this installation and enjoy the ride.”
