The Kennedy Center loses its latest attempt to keep Trump’s name on the building G trends

The Kennedy Center was running out of options Friday evening to keep the president Donald TrumpThe name on the facade of the famous performing arts venue.

A judge earlier in the afternoon denied a request to halt a court-ordered Friday deadline to remove references to Trump from the building and other aspects of the Kennedy Center’s operations. The corporation appealed that ruling, an attempt that was also rejected Friday evening.

Scaffolding was erected earlier in the day around a portion of the building bearing Trump’s name. After a round of storms passed Friday evening, several workers returned to the scene to continue building scaffolding in an apparent attempt to prepare to remove messages referring to the president.

Dozens of people gathered in the square in front of the Kennedy Center to take photos and occasionally cheer while workers built scaffolding.
