PK, 58, and Dorit, 49, announced their separation in May 2024, with Dorit filing for divorce from the talent manager and entrepreneur in April 2025. The ex-partners share son Jagger, 12, (…)

Dorit wrote that PK saw “something strategic” in her joining RHOBA.

“In Los Angeles, visibility has value. It opens doors. It builds influence. It creates opportunities not only socially but professionally,” she wrote. “He saw opportunities where I saw disruption.”

Dorit admitted that she “didn’t want to disappoint” PK.

“I liked bringing something into our marriage that excited him. I liked seeing the sparkle in his eyes as he talked about what it could become,” she wrote. “I liked being admired by my husband. I liked knowing that he believed I could do it. I trusted that he saw something in the opportunity that I didn’t yet appreciate.”

Thinking about PK’s alcohol consumption

Throughout the book, Dorit looks back on a quiet turning point in her marriage that “started with drinking.” She wrote that something changed as her “responsibilities multiplied.”

“I could enjoy a vodka soda and call it a day. PK blurs the line more easily,” she wrote. “Over time, I began to notice the difference between partying and trusting. Drinking no longer enhanced his charm, it dulled his warmth. The man who had once been magnetic and playful became sometimes unpredictable.”

Dorit recalled feeling “fear” when he began drinking. (PK has since publicly shared his journey to sobriety.)

“Not because I wanted to control him, but because I knew how the night would unfold. I would soften my tone,” she explained. “Redirect conversations. Try to stabilize the mood before it turns sour. He would brush it off and say he was fine and that it was nothing.”

Dorit said that when PK verbally abused her “for the first time,” “something fundamental broke in a way that I couldn’t immediately repair,” and they began marriage counseling.

How the home invasion changed things

In 2021, several men broke into Dorit and PK’s home and stole $100,000 worth of valuables. Dorit was at home with her two children and was held at gunpoint while PK was abroad for work. No suspects were ever caught.

After the incident, Dorit recalled that PK had been working on a TV show in the UK and therefore had to travel frequently.

“I tried to stabilize our home while he was building something abroad. I tried to restore a sense of security while he talked about expansion. I looked inward, trying to repair something fragile, while he looked outward, energized by what was next,” she wrote. “The difference wasn’t explosive. It wasn’t a screaming match. It was more subtle than that. It was a divergence. And if I’m honest, his efforts almost felt like escapism at times.”

After the robbery, claims emerged that it was a fake. Dorit and PK continue to deny the allegations.

“The more I protected him publicly, the lonelier I felt privately,” she shared. “I began to realize that something had changed between us in a way that I hadn’t yet fully processed.”

Dorit added: “The night of the invasion had changed me. What I hadn’t yet understood was how deeply it had changed the space between us. And before I could understand what it meant for our marriage, I had to come to terms with what it had done to me.”

Financial situation of PK

Dorit wrote that she stood by him when PK’s past regarding his financial situation came out. However, they reached a point where she was “no longer included in the discussions.”

She reportedly asked for “clarity” as it contributed to her lifestyle.

“This shouldn’t be controversial. But it became so. The more I earned from being a housewife and my own ventures, the tighter the financial boundaries became,” she claimed. “As my income grew, so did his expectation to decide how it was used. Not collaboratively, but decisively. I wasn’t comfortable with that. I didn’t want control. I wanted a partnership. And when I insisted on transparency, that became a point of friction that never really left us.”

She claimed her issues were “about alignment.”

PK spoke to a lawyer a year before their breakup

According to Dorit’s book, PK spoke to a lawyer in 2023. They were in a period of “alienation” at this time.

“Late one evening I received a message from him. It left me cold. It was about the children,” she wrote. “About responsibility. About worry. It wasn’t his voice. I knew it right away.”

PK initially denied having spoken to a lawyer. Months later he admitted it.

“This conversation took place almost a year before our official breakup. It was a pivotal moment,” she wrote. “Not because marriages don’t have problems, but because while I was still fighting for us and still convinced we were in this together, he had quietly started looking for a way out.”
