The voiced protagonist and robot’s bare butt from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake are revealed in this allegedly leaked cinematic G Trends

I’m losing you, blue naked person with a little red blaster and a tiny naked butt standing on my arm! Wait, what was that? Oh no, me, a purple-faced robot-person, gets sucked out of an airlock, as does my partner, a red-faced robot-person. Our bare butts will never survive in the deadly vacuum of space! But it’s okay. With some quick thinking, we’ll manage to get out of what appears to be an early production cinematic from the first interaction of the Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic remake, which has been in relative development limbo for some time now.

According to MP1 PCFootage of the cutscene was found via the portfolio of an anonymous animator who formerly worked at Aspyr, where the game was in development before Saber Interactive took over as KOTOR’s remakers.

While I admit I had a hard time getting through it without getting lost in giggling at the bare butts and fluttering movements of the first fictional characters as they glide across the stage, the most notable aspect of the cutscene assuming it’s authentic is the voice of the protagonist. However, the lines for them, Carth Onasi, and Trask Ulgo are apparently just read by the same actor here, so they would not reflect the sound of the final voices if that were the case.

In 2022, Bloomberg blogger Jason Schreier reported that Aspyr had suspended development of the remake and fired its art director and design director. This, according to the report, followed an internal demo that didn’t go over very well with the bigwigs at Lucasfilm and Sony. Since that moment and much natural speculation that he might disappear into the ether never to be seen again, the remake has been under the care of Saber Interactive, with boss Matthew Karch confirming he’s still alive in 2024 and Saber creative director Tim Willits. do the same thing this month of March. Hellraiser Revival studio Mad Head Games was reported to lead development of the remake starting in December 2025.

My only hope is that if we ever see it released, there will be a video featuring a bum assortment of empty robot people tucked into a menu as a hidden extra.
